What types of programs are offered?
The Elevate Miami is creating programs to address all age groups of our community:
 

Children

Computer Lab hours provided in the City of Miami After School programs located at  eParks facilities
Internet/Computer Safety
Email
Homework Assistance

Adults (18 to 55)

Seniors (age 55 and above)

Small Business

Is there a cost to participate?
There is no cost to participate. The open lab hours and formal training programs will be provided at no cost to the citizens of Miami.

How do I sign up?
If you would like to participate in any of the open labs or epark locations all you need to do is find is to look at the schedule and find the most convenient location please click on the following link: Lab Hours at Elevate Learning Centers.

If you are a senior and would like to attend a training class, contact the training center manager to schedule a date. Please see the eSeniors contact information at the bottom of the page on the following link: Lab Hours at Elevate Learning Centers.

What locations provide training classes?
At this time we are offering training programs for Seniors (those 55 and older at the GESU and Jack Orr Senior Centers (see link above for contact information). In January 2008, we will be expanding our curriculum and providing special programs for parents and adults.

Is there a training schedule?
Currently only a training schedule for Seniors at GESU and Jack Orr is available at the following link: Current Senior Classes. In January 2008, we will be expanding the training schedule to include additional sites. Additionally, at that time there will be a training calendar application available from the Elevate Miami website to assist you with locating relevant training courses.

Is there transportation provided to the learning centers?
At this time we do not have any programs to assist you with transportation to our locations.

Are there programs available for school children?
Each of the eParks locations provide access to computers/internet for children enrolled in that Parks After School Program.

How can I register my child to receive a free computer?
Qualifications for the free computers is described in the document below. Your child’s school will be contacting qualified students to inform them of this opportunity.

How do I donate computer equipment to assist the Elevate Miami project?
Computer equipment donated to Per Scholas, Inc. can directly benefit the Elevate Miami program. Since Per Scholas is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, donations are tax deductible as allowable by law.
